Sir Hans Sloane, was born on 16 april 1660 at Killyleagh in County Down, Ireland. He was dead on 11 january 1753 (aged 92) in Chelsea, London, England.
He was a doctor, a naturalist and a collector and a physician; notable for bequeathing his collection to the United Kingdom which became the foundation of the British Museum . As a youth he collected already objects of natural history. His collections included 1,172 specimens (of bird skins, skeletons, eggs and nests). Unfortunately, nothing has survived and the collection was completely lost.
His rename repose only on his action in favor of the sience and not on his contributions tothe advancement of scienceor medicine.
